Scholar Recruit’s team has more than 20 years of experience providing high-school students with international educational and cultural experiences. We understand the importance of and value that a student gains from an international experience and with the support of our partnering Colleges/Universities, Scholar Recruit has developed a program that will allow our students to learn from top professors, gain insight from current college and graduate students, network with business executives, and experience unique cultural events alongside international peers.
Our team is passionate about our mission of connecting the worlds highest achieving students with programs that encourage global education, enable global networks, and inspire global impact.
Our programs are approximately four weeks (28 days) long and consist of classroom teaching, cultural events, college preparation seminars, field trips, and educational and career development activities.
Applicants should be in their junior or senior year of high-school academic studies and must have at least a 3.2 (on 4.0 scale) cumulative G.P.A. Applicants must demonstrate leadership ability and active involvement in their schools and within the community
The average cost of the Global Scholar Program is $7,500 USD depending on the program you are selected to attend. This cost covers all expenses while the student is at the four-week program. Additional program fees may apply (up to $100 USD) depending on the activity requirements at the program. Round-trip airfare is not included in tuition/program costs; students are responsible for their own travel.
Yes! Applicants who have an interest in or are open to understanding the subject matter of a program are encouraged to apply for that program.
Classes vary depending on the program . All programs include college preparation seminars, field trips, and other activities that will supplement the subject matter of the program the students attends. For more information on courses included in a particular program, please see our Programs Tab.
All of our programs are hosted at a leading College/University. Students reside on campus and utilize campus facilities (e.g. library and research labs, classrooms, dining facilities, dormitories/housing). Classes are taught on campus by University faculty. Students travel off campus to participate in field trips, tours, and recreational activities.
All of our currently offered programs are instructed in English.
Our programs are designed to help students immerse themselves in another culture as they become more confident young adults. Part of this process involves adjusting to new surroundings. Visits from parents or friends during the program is disruptive to the acculturation process and can cause a student to experience homesickness. Furthermore, our programs are scheduled to fill a student’s entire daily schedule during the four weeks, leaving little time to coordinate family/friend visits. For this reason, we rarely allow program visits. Students will have regular contact with family and friends through email and phone calls, and we invite family and friends to visit at the end of the program.
